Fundi Bots

A passionate social entrepreneur with over 15 years’ experience with nonprofit and for profit organizations, Solomon has built a strong track record of bootstrapping start-up companies, mentoring, and building highly motivated teams. Solomon is the Founder and Executive Director for Fundi Bots, an educational institution that uses science and technology to accelerate practical, problem-based learning and experimentation in African schools. In this role, he provides overall long- and short- term strategy development and governance, daily leadership, team development, product development and management oversight for a 20-person team in three country-wide locations while building partnerships and collaborations across the continent. Under Solomon’s leadership, Fundi Bots has scaled to 85+ schools across Uganda reaching over 6,000+ students. Previously, he was the Founder and Creative Director of Elemental Edge, building the organization from a one-person startup to a multimedia powerhouse widely recognized for outstanding and out-of-the-box creative work. In his professional work, Solomon applies creative and innovative thinking that focuses on out-of-the-box solutions to create new opportunities for improving human livelihoods and experiences. He is also the recipient of several prestigious awards in the social impact space from prominent institutions.
