Carol is a seasoned communications expert, her extensive knowledge and practice in Corporate Communications, Sustainability Marketing, and unique approach to PR and Digital (PR2.0) provides a dynamic foundation to providing communication solutions.
She has over the years worked on local and multinational brands in establishing their presence in local and international markets. A few notable brands that she has handled include AIG Insurance Ltd and MERCK Healthcare which she worked closely with providing strategic direction to their communications in East Africa as well as invaluable PR counsel to the Management team. She has led the Coca-Cola East and Central Africa Franchise agency communications team for over five years where she was involved in Brand, Sustainability and Corporate Communications.
Her other nation-wide campaigns include European Union – The Africa Europe Alliance, Global Blood Fund & Terumo's blood for mothers, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation stakeholder communications, PwC Thought Leadership, and 2018 + 2022 FIFA World Cup trophy tour.
Carol’s most recent achievement was working as the Lead Communications Consultant for the inaugural Africa Climate Summit hosted in Nairobi in September 2023 her efforts yielded significant results, as evidenced by the publication of over 2,000 news articles across print, online, TV, and radio platforms by local, pan-African, and international outlets. This extensive media coverage significantly raised the visibility of the Africa Climate Summit and the resultant Nairobi Declaration both online and offline, on a global scale.
Carol has also served in Creative and Cultural Industries Government / Private Sector committee where she was appointed for a period of 3 years by the Minister for Sports, Culture and Heritage between 2020 - 2022, She served in the Africa SABRE awards as a juror in 2022. The SABRES are the most prestigious global PR awards that celebrate various disciplines within Public Relations. She was also recently appointed to serve as a Juror in the Globally acclaimed Cannes Lions where she served as a shortlisting juror for both the PR Lions and Young Lions.
She holds a Bachelor Degree in Commerce (Marketing) from University of Nairobi, Master of Science (International Business & Law) from University of Salford, Manchester and a Certificate in Marketing from Chartered Institute of Marketing in Makini. She is also a member of PRSK and a Governing Council Representative at the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA). Her role in KEPSA has led to several notable milestones during her tenure. She also serves as a board member for Emergency Medicine Kenya Foundation, an Endeavor Kenya ambassador and as the Public Image Director for the Rotary Club of Lavington Eco.
